Need to borrow equipment? The Illinois Home Performance Equipment Loan Program is here to help.
Through the IHP Equipment Loan Program, eligible home performance professionals can borrow a wide array of energy evaluation equipment at no charge. The equipment, which may be used for practice or at the job site, is organized by function into kits and maintained at various participating colleges geographically dispersed across the state.
To be eligible, individuals must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Currently listed on the Illinois Code Diagnostics website
- Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified
- Currently enrolled in a BPI certification course
- Duct and Envelope Tightness Verifier certified
The IHP Equipment Loan Program was developed by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) in partnership with the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN), and is supported by funding from ComEd, Nicor Gas, Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas.
